The Hare becomes The Tortoise

Finally, an end to the games. Though i did enjoy the day immensely, it was also one of the most torturous days I've had in a long time. No, i cannot recall any funny moments worth mentioning. All i remember was running around alot. 2 of the games i was involved in were held at the same time. After i was done with a match of handball, i had to run off to the next sports hall to play netball, alternating between the two. By the time we were halfway through, I started feeling this pain in my abdominal area. Must be from the accumulation of lactic acid or because i hadn't had anything to eat the whole day that my stomach must be cramping up,but whatever it was it spread all the way from one side to the other. Fortunately, after all the handball and netball matches, i had time to rest for my other game was only in the night. I found a comfy spot in the corner of hall, and decided to rest, when suddenly my friend beckons me over, asking me to play basketball as they were lacking.. no not lacking.. no one even signed up for it and now they were gathering whoever they could to just participate so we wouldnt get fined. I shook my head, refusing to join the basketball game. I didnt want to overexert myself but when i saw my batch getting trashed on the court, plus my love for sports, i just couldnt help but join in. Midway i was getting riled up because most of the players were getting really competitive and i just didnt have the energy to push myself to that level. I played all the matches without substitutes and it wasn't before the very last game that i realised that i had to stop. I was fooling around with the prizes before the match and i picked up a box of chocolate in each hand. My friend suggested i skip the last match and just as i was about to say No, i realised that the chocolates in my hands were rattling in their boxes because my hand was shaking so badly that it freaked me out. In the end, no one wanted to play anymore, and since we were losing anyway, I decided to forfeit the game. Initially, I was suppose to be in the futsal team too but after the basketball matches i finally got to rest, and it felt like all i ever wanted to do is to just sleep forever. Plus, i was saving whatever energy i had left for the handball finals.

The organizers came up with this idea of putting up winners of each game against the Uni team, to test their strength. Towards the end of the night, my teammates were all worned out and we decided to play a relaxing game, since we had no expectations of ourselves whatsoever(and they have their reputation at stake), but as we scored the first two goals of the match, things were really heating up and everyone just got back their spirit. Of course, we didnt win but it was quite close with only 2 points away from a draw. I even scored one of the goals ^^ That Really made my day..

Of course, throughout all this fun and games, there was a price to pay. Always.. a price to pay. I woke up this morning (very Early i might add) with the worst muscle ache Ever. Every muscle I had in my body was sore, even my masseter muscle hurt. I tried falling back asleep knowing i needed the rest but i kept tossing and turning and each movement was followed by an "Oww, Oww". Knowing i had no chance of drifting off again, i decided to start what can only be called Slow Moving Day. Literally inching away, i laughed(which was also painful to do) at how ironic it was that only yesterday i was running about at lightning speed and now i'm reduced to being this unbalanced, robot-walking, invalid that can't even laugh properly. I feel so useless.. and a little bit old.

Damn!! (just realised time)

Stupid day light saving's crap. Forgot to change the time and now i've lost an hour. Have classes tomorrow.. Ahh.. Less one hour to sleep. :( Hmm.. unless i allow myself to rest another day.. Exhausted.. Great now i'm just typing my thoughts out word for word. I need sleep. Gbye world.
